Message from trainer
This lovely filly from the Rosemont Stud draft caught the eye at the sales. By Umatilla who is a renowned Sire of winners out of the multiple winning Polish Laughter mare Lucy In The Sky. This is the mare's second foal. The first foal has already shown ability finishing third to the highly rated Nate. The breeders Graeme and Liby Smith have shown faith in the filly and retained a good portion of her. She is soon to be broken in as she needed time as most Umatilla yearlings do. The filly named Lucillybillie was broken in at our property and was eager throughout. She has a terrific nature and is heading in the right direction slowly. She has had 2 preparations and trialled well in her first in June, 2010. She will need more trials prior to racing as I believe she is still 6 months away from making a good racehorse. However, there is plenty of upside with her (posted 17 June, 2010)
